2016 Honored Guiding Members

Christine T. Jorgensen is author of seven mystery novels, her latest is Missing, is a local best seller featuring Detective Casey Jansen. First in a planned series, Missing is a suspense thriller set in Colorado and written under the name, C.T. Jorgensen, separating it from her previous humorous amateur sleuths. Next in the series, Disappeared, will be out in 2016. Jorgensen, a confirmed critiquer, is a former Writer of the Year, a long time member of Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers, Colorado Gold Contest judge and member of Mystery Writers of America. Her second novel, You Bet Your Life, was a finalist in the Colorado Book Award.

Sharon Mignerey remembers vividly getting that first library card, and from then until now she’s always read as much as she could. All that reading, in turn, fueled her passion for writing. Though the path to becoming published was a longer one than she’d ever anticipated, she never gave up on her dream to be a published author. After she graduated from college, she became a technical writer, and for many years wrote software documentation for computer systems. User’s guides and system analysis weren’t quite what she had in mind, though, and she always wrote fiction on the side. During the years she kept polishing her stories and submitting them for publication.

Robin D. Owens has been writing longer than she cares to recall and has published twenty seven books, five novellas, and two short stories. She is profoundly thankful to be a recipient of the 2002 Romance Writers of America RITA® Award (like the Oscar in her field) for HeartMate, various other awards throughout the years, and has been named the Writer of the Year by Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers twice. She has also received a Lifetime Achievement Award from Colorado Romance Writers. Her fantasy/futuristic romances found a home at Berkley with the issuance of HeartMate in December 2001. She credits the "telepathic cat with attitude" in selling that book.
