Rocky Mountain Writer #153

Posted on January 1, 2019 by Mark Stevens

Natasha Watts & Anatomy of Emotion

If you happened to set some resolutions about writing for 2019 and you want to dive right in, RMFW-U has got you covered with a brand new online course, Anatomy of Emotion, kicking off this coming Sunday, January 6.

Your teacher is Natasha Watts and we’ve got her here on the podcast with a preview of the course, which is designed to help you observe body language and think about how nonverbal communication among your characters can add raw emotional power to your work.

The four-week class is just $35 for members and $40 for non-members.

But, wait, that’s not all. Natasha also has an update on her involvement in Pitch Wars, a Twitter-based mentoring program that she entered last August and has led to her working with not one but two published writers. They are now helping her polish a novel and get it ready for a round of agent queries soon.

And if that’s not enough, we will also check in with Natasha on the next RMFW short story anthology—she is co-editor along with Rachel Delaney Craft, who was the guest on the previous episode of The Rocky Mountain Writer.
