Critique Guidelines

RMFW offers regular, general critique groups as well as genre-specific critique groups for members interested in feedback on works in progress, cover letters or synopses. Critiques include technical advice and other writers' opinions regarding characters, plot, dialogue, and suitability for the marketplace.

Members are encouraged to attend critiques. Whether your interest is mystery, romance, historical, mainstream, or speculative fiction, we offer a critique group to fit your needs. Contact information for these groups is listed in the Members Area.

You must be a member of RMFW to join an RMFW critique group, though nonmembers may visit and observe three critique group meetings before deciding if RMFW membership is right for them.

There are several critique groups available to RMFW members. However, you might not fit with any of the groups listed. If that is your situation, don't despair. You can now place a 'want-ad' in our newsletter. Here are some examples to give you an idea.
