Opportunities to Volunteer

Website Developers: RMFW needs 3 volunteers to help maintain the rmfw.org website. Must have a basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and WordPress. One of these positions may lead to a supervisory role as the RMFW Technology Chair and will require a high level of skill and managerial ability. Email Marketing: RMFW needs 2 volunteers to work with the PR team to write and distribute weekly email communications. Must have an understanding of email marketing and HTML/CSS. If you are interested in this position, contact Rainey Hall, Volunteer Chair at volunteering@rmfw.org.

Forum Moderators: RMFW is seeking 4 volunteers to be administrators and moderators for a Simple Machines Forum. Past experience with forums a plus but not needed if you are willing to read the manual and learn to operate the forum. Moodle Support: RMFW needs 3 volunteers to help develop online classes and moderate student participation. Experienced Moodle administrators preferred, but not required if you're willing to read the manual and learn with the rest of the volunteers. Share Your Knowledge: Our programs are free to both members and non-members, and we're always looking for presenters to share their knowledge. If you are interested in presenting in the Denver area, contact Sheri Duff-Merz, Denver Programs Director at denverprograms@rmfw.org.

Write an Article for Rocky Mountain Writer Newsletter: The Rocky Mountain Writer is our monthly newsletter and includes helpful articles about the world of publishing and issues of concern to RMFW members. We welcome your suggestions, article ideas, photos, and other tidbits and ideas. The deadline for submissions for the following month’s newsletter is the third Saturday of the previous month. Please contact Vicki Pierce at newsletter@rmfw.org before submitting any content for the newsletter.

Lead or Assist a Critique Group: RMFW offers regular, general critique groups as well as genre-specific critique groups for members interested in feedback on works in progress, cover letters or synopses. Members are always needed to lead a critique group or help with existing groups. If you're interested in helping out, contact the Monica Poole, Critique Chair at critique@rmfw.org.
