Volunteering with RMFW is a valuable opportunity to support fellow members, learn new skills, and form friendships. Contact Pam Nowak at firstname.lastname@example.org and include 'RMFW Volunteer' in the Subject line to join our community of volunteers. Not sure how you want to help? Shoot an email to Rainey for suggestions. RMFW has lots of opportunities that meet your expertise, even if your expertise is limited to stuffing envelopes! We thrive on volunteers and want your help.
Opportunities to Volunteer
Share Your Knowledge: Our programs are free to both members and non-members, and we're always looking for presenters to share their knowledge. If you are interested in presenting in the Denver area, contact Sheri Duff-Merz, Denver Programs Director at email@example.com.
Write an Article for Rocky Mountain Writer Newsletter: The Rocky Mountain Writer is our monthly newsletter and includes helpful articles about the world of publishing and issues of concern to RMFW members. We welcome your suggestions, article ideas, photos, and other tidbits and ideas. The deadline for submissions for the following month’s newsletter is the third Saturday of the previous month. Please contact the newsletter editor at firstname.lastname@example.org before submitting any content for the newsletter.
Lead or Assist a Critique Group: RMFW offers regular, general critique groups as well as genre-specific critique groups for members interested in feedback on works in progress, cover letters or synopses. Members are always needed to lead a critique group or help with existing groups. If you're interested in helping out, contact the Monica Poole, Critique Chair at email@example.com.
Forum Moderators: RMFW is seeking volunteers to be administrators and moderators for a Simple Machines Forum. Past experience with forums a plus but not needed if you are willing to read the manual and learn to operate the forum. If you are interested in this position, contact Pam Nowak, Volunteer Chair at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Online Class Support: RMFW needs volunteers to help develop online classes and moderate student participation. Experienced Moodle administrators preferred, but not required if you're willing to read the manual and learn with the rest of the volunteers. If you are interested in this position, contact Pam Nowak, Volunteer Chair at email@example.com.
