    Although I primarily write nonfiction, I still get stuck in the middle. I start out with an idea I think is terrific and can see the ending but get lost in the middle and bore myself. Not good. These tips can be applied in my case as well. Thanks for the inspiration and ideas.

    Such good advice, Lori, and I’m going to use several of your suggestions to keep my ideas flowing. There was also one suggestion I heard during a Donald Maass “The FIre in Fiction” workshop — think of something your character would never do in a million years, then have her do it. I always liked that one to spark new action.
