Stephanie Kane & A Perfect Eye
After a fourteen-year break since her last book, Stephanie Kane returns with a new novel coming out next month.
A Perfect Eye is a mystery-thriller set in and around the Denver Art Museum featuring painting conservator Lily Sparks.
On the podcast, Stephanie Kane talks about the reasons she took the hiatus, what drew her back, and why it’s not a bad idea to step away and get some perspective on the business and craft of writing.
Stephanie Kane is a lawyer and award-winning author. Born in Brooklyn, she came to Colorado as a freshman at CU. She owned and ran a karate studio in Boulder and is a second-degree black belt. After graduating from law school, she was a corporate partner at a top Denver law firm before becoming a criminal defense attorney.
Stephanie has lectured on money laundering and white collar crime in Eastern Europe, and given workshops throughout the country on writing technique. She lives in Denver with her husband and two black cats.
Two earlier books, Extreme Indifference and Seeds Of Doubt were both Colorado Authors League Awards winners. Extreme Indifference also won the Colorado Book Award for Best Mystery.
More awards may be on the way. Kirkus Reviews has already called A Perfect Eye “a truly classic thriller.”
