SAVE $50 AND REGISTER NOW!
Registration is open for the 2019 Colorado Gold Conference. If you haven’t yet registered, get to it—you’ll be so glad you did! One reason: the conference price goes up by $50 on June 30. Beat that date and save.
If you have already registered, welcome! This year’s conference has a powerful lineup of literary agents and editors who are actively acquiring all genres of commercial fiction. In addition, there’s a lively variety of new workshops, classes, and services designed to enlighten, encourage, and inspire you! Read on so you’ll feel right at home from the very start of the conference, whether this is your first one or the next of many.
NEW ROOM LOCATOR
The conference will be held again this year at the Renaissance Hotel near the old Stapleton airport at 3801 Quebec Street (I-70 and Quebec). Like many other RMFW members I’ve talked with, I often found myself looking at the schedule at the last minute and wondering where this or that event was being held. This year, conference organizers Susan Brooks and Pam Nowak showed me an easy way to find my way around the hotel and get to that class, workshop, or editor appointment.
Take a look at the image on the right, and you’ll see how simple it is. All rooms named after rivers are on the ballroom level (“B” on the elevator), all rooms named after cities are on the atrium level (“A” on the elevator), and all rooms named after mountains are on the third floor.
Easy peasy! After checking in to the hotel, take the elevator or escalator to the ballroom level to find the registration desk. You’ll see a poster-sized version of this layout there, as well as a reminder on the back of the conference program you’ll receive when you register, so you’ll always know which floor you need.
NEW LOCATION FOR BOOKSTORE AND SIGNING
You’ll find the bookstore and signing event in the Aspen room, on the atrium level just behind the restaurant. This will simplify things and eliminate the need to relocate inventory for the signing.
SPECIAL ADD-ON PROGRAMMING
In addition to the wealth of workshops presented during conference, the Friday intensive workshops will be offered again, and a Thursday intensive workshop has been added. Check them out on page 9 of the 2019 conference brochure! You must register in advance for these programs, so peruse them now to ensure you don’t miss out. Here are some highlights.
