Hello everyone, I’m the new RMFW Blog Editor. First off, I want to thank Rachel Craft for all her work on the Blog. She’s set a high mark, and I’ll do my best to match it.
I’m a new writer. I’ve been writing off and on for the past three years, and I’m currently on a push to get my first books published in early 2020. For the past 22 years my wife and I have been running an online commerce site, and at my stage in life (I’m turning 70 in January) I felt like I needed to move in another direction. I found that in writing, and I’m learning more and having more fun than I have in years. Yes, old dogs can learn new tricks!
I’m not going to be making any changes to the Blog until I’m comfortable working with it. I do have some ideas… I always have ideas… but I would like to hear from you, too. If there’s anything you would like to see in the Blog please add your comments below, or write to me at blog@rmfw.org.
We’re currently looking for a few more regular blog contributors. If you can submit an article each month, please write to me and let’s talk.
If you have some ideas for articles but can’t post on a regular schedule, you can be a guest blogger! You can submit your article on the Submission Guidelines page.
I’m looking forward to this opportunity to contribute to RMFW and the Colorado writing community. We now return you to your regularly scheduled blog, which is already in progress.
Welcome, Kurt. And thank you!
Welcome and thank you for taking this on! I love your energy and drive to contribute so much of yourself to this aspect of our organization! I look forward to working with you.
I could commit to being a monthly blogger or a guest blogger but can’t seem to make the link to write to you work. Please email me at ms@maggiesmithwriter.com. Thanks.
Hi, Kurt, thank you for being willing to be the blog guide! I always enjoy reading it.
Welcome! Your volunteering to do this is very appreciated!
Thanks for all the welcome comments. I’m really enjoying working with the blog, and being part of the inner workings of RMFW.
Maggie, the links should open your email program (Outlook, for example) on a desktop computer with a new message addressed to ‘blog@rmfw.org’, or pop a list of mail programs like Gmail on a phone. I don’t know what would happen if you don’t have a desktop mail program and only use a browser-based account like Gmail, but I expect Windows wouldn’t know what to do with it.
If anyone else has problems with links in blog posts, please let me know at ‘blog@rmfw.org’. (If an email link doesn’t work just copy the address and paste it into your mail program.)
